CAT 2015 Results Leaked! Hackers circulate Common Admission Test results 2015 online after hacking CAT result page!

The Common Admission Test (CAT) was conducted on November 29 in two sessions, the forenoon session, from 9 am to 12 noon, and the afternoon session, from 2 pm to 5 pm. The results for the exam that was held for a duration of 180 minutes, are awaited by the 2.19 lakh candidates who took the test.

Result:
The results for the Common Admission Test (CAT) are expected to be out on January 12, informed an official in a telephonic interview to India Today Education.

Admission and Selection Process:
The list of short-listed candidates will soon be released on the individual IIM website.  Each IIM will send interview letters to the short-listed candidates directly. The criteria for short-listing varies in each IIM. The process may include a Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussions (GD), and Personal Interviews (PI). Certain IIMs may also refer to the previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience and other similar inputs, in short listing and ranking of the candidates at various stages of the admission process.

Eligibility criterion:
If a candidate gets short listed for interviews, they will have to comply with eligibility verification, which includes:

• Marksheets and degree certificates
• Reservation category requirements
• Final year of graduation certificate

Normalisation of CAT scores:

CAT has been conducted in two sessions.  Two different test forms were administered in two test  sessions. In order to ensure fairness and equity in comparison of performances of the candidates across different test sessions, the scores of the candidates shall be subjected to a process of normalisation.

The scaled scores obtained by this process shall be converted into percentiles for shortlisting purposes. For purposes of reporting, scaled scores for each section (Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VA RC), Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Section III: Quantitative Ability (QA)) and the total, along with the percentiles shall be published.

Expected cut offs:

IIM Ahmedabad: 99.5 percentile

IIM Calcutta: 99 percentile

IIM Lucknow and IIM Kozhikode: 90 percentile

The lowest percentile expected for a call from the new IIMs should be in the range of 96-97 percentiles.

Non IIMs:

Indian Institute of Technology (SJMSOM) Bombay: 99 percentile

Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi and Indian Institute of Technology (DMS), Delhi: 98 percentile

Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon, National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai: 95 percentile
